Request Indexing

YourCite · 11 URLs · ~5 minutes in Google Search Console · 4 Oct 2026

Why this is manual: Google has no API for requesting indexing of normal pages (the Indexing API only accepts job postings and livestreams). A human clicking Request Indexing is the only lever, and the quota is about 10–12 per day. That is exactly enough for the list below.

1 Open Search Console

Go to search.google.com/search-console → yourcite.com on your phone or laptop. Sign in with the Google account that owns the property.

2 Paste each URL into the top search bar

The bar at the very top of Search Console says "Inspect any URL in sc-domain:yourcite.com". Paste URL #1, press Enter, wait for the inspection card, then click REQUEST INDEXING. Repeat for each URL. Skip the two marked SKIP.

The list, in this order

#URLWhy
1yourcite.com/blog/ai-citation-tracker/Top pick. Its search page has only 2 strong competitors.
2yourcite.com/blog/lead-list-for-cold-email/Best odds: zero strong competitors on page 1.
3yourcite.com/blog/ai-lead-generation/Google currently shows irrelevant results there. A good page can take it.
4yourcite.com/blog/how-to-get-cited-in-ai/New rewrite + Quick answer block.
5yourcite.com/blog/how-to-track-brand-citations-in-ai/New rewrite.
6yourcite.com/blog/how-to-get-cited-by-ai-checklist/New rewrite.
7yourcite.com/blog/ai-lead-generation-vs-scoring/New summary block.
8yourcite.com/blog/ai-lead-scoring-for-small-business/New summary block.
9yourcite.com/blog/cannabis-marketing-ideas/Updated copy.
10yourcite.com/blog/how-ai-agents-find-businesses/Updated copy.
11yourcite.com/blog/why-your-dispensary-isnt-showing-up-on-google/Zero strong competitors on its search page.

SKIP: yourcite.com/blog/ai-citation-tracking-tool/ · /blog/how-to-build-a-lead-list-for-cold-email/ · /blog/ai-lead-generation-for-small-business/, these three now redirect (301) to their new versions, and Google follows redirects on its own. Requesting them wastes your daily quota.

3 What each result means

What the card saysMeaningAction
"URL is not on Google" + Request indexing acceptedNormal for the 3 new pagesDone, move to next
"Submitted and indexed"Already inSkip, next
"Crawled, currently not indexed"Seen, judged low priorityStill click Request Indexing; the refresh helps
"Page fetch failed"TransientRetry once later
What happens next: most of these get crawled within 1–3 days of the request (the new three URLs are already submitted to Bing and are in the resubmitted sitemap, so they have multiple paths in). The daily rank watch reports anything that enters the top 100. If nothing has been crawled by 8 Oct, request the same three new URLs once more.
